The ‘God’ word has always been an issue for some people in recovery, either when getting sober, or for their entire recovery. They have not been helped by the fact that a lot of the literature written by AA and other fellowships about atheist/agnostic members can be seen as quite patronising at times. There are a number of ‘secular’ recovery sources which can be helpful.
